Unbreakable Machine Doll Review

Rating 6/10

The story revolves around a main character that has a deep dark past that he desperately wants to resolve. He obtains a companion (the doll) and they compete in a festival of sorts to have their wish granted. Its pretty bland when it comes to the plot because there isn't really a connection with the character due to the fact that they focus the show on wining a festival. Unlike other combat anime like DBZ where the theme is actual combat this story was supposed to go deeper into the character but since it is centered around combat festival type theme it actually takes away from the real connection with he story. As for the art it was pretty decent I really like the fighting style they have but its still no match for an anime such as FATE. The characters themselves were pretty well developed the main lead has a strong sense of self and purpose but his ideals and message get skewed due to the fact that the entire focus of the show is to win a tournament so his core values and goals get shoved aside. Some of the character abilities are really cool. I would totally recommend watching this anime as a buffer for when you desperately need something to watch while your looking for your ideal anime to watch. This anime is great but not very fulfilling to watch in my opinion which is why I recommend it as a time passer.
